Laser Hair Removal: Laser LIte or Laser Right

Many clients come to our office at the Center for Facial Plastic Surgery and Laser Skin Care in Albany NY frustrated with the poor results of lack of progress with their laser hair treatments. Some present with injuries or burns form inappropriate treatments. Sure, anyone can push a button, but what the public needs to understand, is that there are not smart machines, but rather only smart operators of those machines. Lasers are medical devices, and must be treated as such. There are several safe guards that can help assure that you are going to get the best treatment. You can also be assured that we will select the appropriate laser and parameters for your success. We do not use IPLs or light sources are they are inferior to lasers for lasting hair reduction.

When you purchase a laser hair removal package, we continue to treat you up to a year at no additional cost. This is important for a number of reasons. First it takes the pressure of both the client and practitioner and I will explain how. While every one wants to see results, if you push to hard there is a greater risk of injury. By purchasing a package with the extended coverage you know that we can start at a comfortable setting and progress incrementally which is a safer way to go. You can also stop counting the number of sessions as we continue to treat you up to a year with no additional charge. Let’s face it. As we age, the skin begins to sag and dimple. This is generally the result of a breakdown in collagen production, which acts as a scaffold to the skin. With thick and strong collagen our skin becomes plump on the inside with an outside finish that looks smooth and refined. Here are a few examples of skin tightening machines that really can do the trick! Radiofrequency is a non-invasive approach, with no downtime that essentially targets water oscillating deep into the dermal layer that results in a shrink-wrapping” effect to the skin. It takes about 40 minutes and 2 treatments. The results are amazing! Sometimes, along with laxity there is a bit of unwanted fat in some locations, such as under the chin.
