Description: This fair skinned woman came to see me about a skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) of the nasal tip. She then underwent immediate reconstruction of the defect with a healthy skin flap rotated from the side of her nose (bilobed flap). read more

Description: This patient presented with a history of a recurrent skin cancer on the left side of her nose and cheek (basal cell carcinoma). The cancer was removed by a Mohs Surgeon, who is a dermatologist that specializes in the precise removal of skin cancers. The reconstruction was accomplished in a series of stages using a skin flap rotated from her forehead and a skin flap advanced from her cheek. She also required ear cartilage to reconstruct her nostril (nasal lobule). Erbium laser resurfacing helped to further blend and hide scars. read more
