Albany Skin Care: Chemical Peels

Many people struggle to achieve smooth, soft healthy skin especially in the face of sun damage, acne and acne scarring and other skin traumas. Fortunately, these days there are is a vast number of cosmetic procedures available on the market today to help improve the vitality of your skin. An Albany Chemical Peel is a procedure in which the outer layer of skin is gently removed. Blepharoplasty – Albany Eyelid Rejuvenation

Blepharoplasty, also known as Eyelid Lift Surgery, is a procedure designed to remove excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids in order to create a smoother, more alert and youthful appearance. With age, in addition to the effects of environment and sun damage, our skin begins to lose it’s elasticity and our muscles weaken which is what causes our eyelids to droop, sag and appear puffy. Eyelid Lift surgery can improve drooping, excess skin folds and puffiness, but it cannot improve crow’s feet, dark under-eye circles or a heavy, sagging brow. In order to correct these addition issues, Blepharoplasty may be done in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a Brow Lift, a Face Lift or Dermal Fillers.

There are three types of Blepharoplasty: Inside Lower, Outside Lower and Upper Eyelid Lifts. The Inside Lower uses the Transconjunctival approach which works by removing and sculpting the excess orbital fat. As we age and our orbital septum loses strength, the fat deposits end up sliding forward which is what creates those under-eye bags.
