Leg veins can be divided into several categories, fine spider veins or telangiectasis, somewhat larger veins called reticular veins, and finally varicosities. All of these types of veins are amenable to laser treatment. If you have extensive varicosities, we would recommend you for a vascular consult, as there can be more involved problems of venous incompetence at hand. Effective laser removal of leg veins is accomplished with long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser. We use the Cutera Vantage ™, an industry standard for this application.
